Timothee Chalamet, 25, stepped into the limelight in 2017 with his incredible performance as Elio in Call Me By Your Name and the world has been obsessed with him since. Since then he has graced our TVs with his presence in the Netflix original series The King (2019) as well as successful productions such as Ladybird (2017), Little Women (2019) and, more recently, the modern recreation of the Frank Herbert novel Dune (2021). Not only is Chalamet an outstanding actor with impeccable fashion sense and bone structure that was clearly gifted from the gods, but he also has an incredible head of hair.
Whilst we can’t all be award winning actors with cheekbones that could cut glass, we can give you the secrets to recreating the infamous Timothee Chalamet haircut and style.
When it comes to recreating this cut, it’s probably best to step out of your comfort zone and hit up a unisex salon instead of your usual barber. You’ll want someone who is comfortable working with medium to long length hair to achieve this stylish mop. It may also help to show your stylist a picture of Timothee Chalamet’s hairstyle so they can get a good idea of what look you're trying to recreate.
Ask your stylist to make your hair look like a “non-haircut”, as the professionals call it. This can be achieved by point-cutting into the ends of the hair with scissors instead of cutting it straight across, so the ends don’t come out blunt. Keep your hair medium-long in length, so it sits just above the collar, and put in some long layers. It is important to keep the cut shaggy around the sides and hairline to help create volume if you don’t naturally have it. Then put in a soft side parting with your hair pushed back off your face and the haircut is complete.
This is the perfect long haircut for that Funky Fella with a thick, textured hair type with soft waves or heavy curls.
If you have naturally thick hair and curly hair…
If you have naturally straight hair...
