You don’t have to be a football fan to know the name Cristiano Ronaldo. Ask any Tom, Dick, or Funky Fella you come across and there is a big chance that they have some idea who he is. I suppose that’s what comes from being one of the most prolific football players in the world - on par with Lionel Messi. Ronaldo has played in 1097 matches and in that time has scored 801 strikes! That’s madness.
Not only is Ronaldo known for being a skillful striker with plenty of personality, but he is also somewhat of a trend setter when it comes to hair. Men all around the world have been obsessed with Ronaldo’s hair transformations since he signed up with Manchester United in 2003 and it’s easy to see why. Each look he pulls off is stylish, long lasting, and hassle-free. Perfect.
For a footballer it is important that you go for a hairstyle that has the ability to hold up throughout an entire 90-minute football match and Ronaldo has always understood that assignment. To create this same manageable look, book a trip to the barbers and ask for a shaved undercut on the sides and back. Keep the hair on top about medium length with a soft scissor cut and don’t forget to ask for that sharp hard part on a slight angle (show picture above for reference).
You can always go that extra step and in a true Ronaldo fashion ask your barber to cut in some funky designs or lines into your undercut. The football star has opted for double straight lines, squares and even a zig-zag pattern in the past. So, don’t be afraid to go a bit out there! Hair is all about expression, after all. To achieve this second look, ask your barber for some tapered sides and back with a high fade, about an inch from the main body of hair.
These statement curls are au-naturale for this footballer, making this the perfect hairstyle for you curly haired fellas! It’s time to embrace your curls. If Ronaldo can do it, so can you.
If your hair is straight don’t worry about being left out. Just ask your barber for a high fade without the curls. Easy-peasy.
Finally, give it some hairdryer treatment, and admire how good you look. You’ve now got your hair over the line, just like Ronaldo.
